Abstract

Cosmic rays are very energetic particles coming from outer space. Being charged particles they are deflected by interstellar magnetic field, thus we cannot trace their origin. A rapid progress has been made in the study of cosmic rays in the past one decade. Neutrinos and gamma rays are produced in interactions of cosmic rays with ambient matter and radiation. These neutral particles help us to locate the acceleration sites of cosmic rays. I will discuss how multi-wavelength astronomy and neutrino astronomy by current and next generation telescopes help us to explore the origin and physics of cosmic rays. We observe many physical phenomena in the high energy universe which are hard to interpret physically. I will also briefly mention about some of them.
