Abstract
I will review old paradoxes about large black holes in AdS that suggest that the CFT might not provide an adequate description of the black-hole interior. I will also review a proposed resolution of these paradoxes through the idea that the map between bulk and boundary operators might be state dependent. However, state dependence leads to additional paradoxes that have been only partially resolved.
