Abstract
Gravity in two and three dimensions provides toy models that permit addressing aspects of black hole physics, quantum gravity and holography. In my lectures I review basic features of these models and provide an overview of recent developments, for instance on AdS_2 holography in the light of the SYK model and on near horizon holography and its relation to soft hair.
