Research Interests:
lie in the fields of nonlinear dynamics and statistical mechanics, particularly in the dynamics of extended systems and the study of complex networks. Some recent research highlights are the identification of the dynamical origin of spatiotemporal intermittency in a coupled map system, the identification of the critical configuration for load bearing hierachical networks, the proposal of the statistical characterisers for congestion and decongestion and their application to the computer network of the IITM campus, and the airport network of the U.S., and studies of the chimera states of coupled map lattice systems.
