Join us for a skywatch event featuring a presentation on astronomy, the Moon, galaxies, and the Solar System. Participants can create their own constellations and take part in a scaled planetary walk. Senior students will engage in a trigonometry-based activity using the parallax method to measure the distance to the top of a windmill tower. A Moon phase take-home activity will be provided. The evening will include a skywatching session with two telescopes set up to observe the Moon, Jupiter, and its moons, guided from the terrace of the Utility Block.
