WALK IN INTERVIEW at BANGALORE
International Centre for Theoretical Sciences (ICTS) of TIFR is looking for a highly motivated, self driven individual for the post of Project Assistant/Technician - (System Administrator) at the Bangalore office. The contract will be initially for a period of one year and may be extended further depending on performance and requirement of the Centre.
Essential Qualification & Experience:
# BSc (IT) / BSc (Computer Science) OR Diploma in Computer Science / Electronics / Electronics and Telecommunication / IT.
# Certificate course in System Administrator, Linux OS, Ethernet and wireless LAN network, System Security, Data backup system.
# Minimum one year of work experience/exposure in the relevant field.
Job Profile:
The job profile involves providing technical support in maintaining desktop computer systems and network.
Support includes installation and support of the Linux OS on desktop computer and server; configuration of network and performing routine maintenance on software; liaison with hardware & software vendors and with ISPs as and when required. Application level support to all desktop users. Setting up Video conferencing. Exposure to audio/video processing will be an added advantage.
Maintenance includes periodic update of existing network and systems; maintaining/managing the internal network, documentation of services & softwares being used. Skills to deploy and update open source software packages are desirable.
Age: under 35 years.
Tenure: Initial appointment will be for 1 year which may be extended depending upon performance.
Location: Bangalore
Salary will be commensurate with the candidate's experience, qualification and potential and will not be a constraint for outstanding candidates. The selected candidate will be required to join immediately.
