The International Centre for Theoretical Sciences of the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (ICTS-TIFR), a premier research centre (an Autonomous, Grant-in-Aid Institution of the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India), invites highly motivated and self-driven individuals for the post of Junior Research Fellow to work on a project on ‘The dynamics of complex ecosystems’ at its Bengaluru office.
Essential Qualification:
- MSc/MS/BS/BSc in Physics or M Tech/B Tech/B E (Mechanical Engineering/Aerospace/Chemical Engineering/Computer Science) from a recognized University or equivalent.
Desirable Experience:
- Prior research experience in physics in Institutions or Science and Technology Organisations and Scientific activities and services.
Job Profile: The applicant will primarily focus on formulating and studying dynamics of complex ecosystems with chaos and non-equilibrium energy flows in complex ecosystems. The aim is to pose suitable problems at the interface of ecology, statistical physics and thermodynamics and study them theoretically as well as numerically. Prior experience with these techniques would be preferred.
Monthly Emoluments - Rs. 37,000/- + HRA
