The International Centre for Theoretical Sciences (ICTS), Bengaluru is looking for an in-house graphic design consultant. ICTS is part of the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) – a premier public-funded research institution. The Centre has a three-pronged mandate: to conduct the highest quality research in the theoretical sciences, to host programs that will bring together researchers from all over the world to solve the challenging questions posed by nature, to communicate the excitement of science, spread scientific temper and the spirit of enquiry through outreach programs. 

The designer will actively contribute to the academic, program and outreach activities of ICTS and will have an opportunity to collaborate with ICTS researchers and science communicators. We are looking for individuals who have demonstrated their ability in graphic design, with a broad interest in education and science and willingness to work in an academic environment. Knowledge and experience in web design, animation and film are highly desirable. Ideally, the candidate should have a degree in art or design; however, this is not an essential requirement. Good communication skills, ability to multitask and to work in a team are essential. 

The designer will be working from the Centre’s state-of-the-art campus in North Bengaluru. The remuneration will commensurate with the qualification and experience of the candidate.

SUMMARY: 

Minimum qualification: Undergraduate degree (preferably in art or visual communication design).

Minimum experience:  2  years in graphic design. However, freshers with a strong design portfolio can also apply. 

Pay:  Will be commensurate with the qualification and experience.
