Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • Graduate from a recognised University /Institute with aggregate of 55% marks.
  • Proficiency in word processing/database/accounting procedures.
  • 5 years’ experience in Accounts in a large and reputed organization.

Age - Maximum 33 years (Age relaxation as per rules)

Desirable Skills:

  • Post Graduate in commerce or higher qualification in the same stream will be preferred.
  • Exposure to Govt. Rules, FR/SR, GFR, Payroll,Taxation, Audit will be preferred.
  • Candidates should have the knowledge of finalization of accounts.
  • Experience of facing audit

Job Profile: (Accounts)

  • ​Preparing monthly salary acquittance roll and disbursement. 
  • Remittance of professional tax, TDS, NPS, TDS under GST and other statutory dues, return filing for TDS under income tax and GST, reconciliation and issuing certificates.
  • Processing contingency grants/ book grants, LTC advance and EL Encashment payments, remittance/ recoveries of PF, GLIS, LIC/ Mediclaim, retirement benefits.
  • Liaising with the bank for LC, bank guarantee, import documents, foreign payments & receipts.
  • Processing bills, assisting in the preparation of financial statements and statutory audits.
  • Preparing the statement of expenditure and utilisation certificates for the plan, non-plan and extramural grants.
  • Processing purchase orders, service orders, lease payment, reimbursement claims, checking comparative statements & fund commitments
  • Any other task assigned by the section-in-Charge or Center Director.

 

Sr. No. 2. SCIENTIFIC ASSISTANT (B) - 1 POST - UNRESERVED

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • Graduate from a recognised University /Institute with aggregate of 60% marks and Graduate or Post Graduate in Library/Information Science (with aggregate of 60% marks).
  • Knowledge of use of personal computers and its applications.
  • 2 years experience as per the requirement of the Section / Department.

Age - Maximum 28 years (Age relaxation as per rules)

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in using the Linux operating system is preferred.

Job Profile: (Library)

  • ​Analyzing scientific requirements, processing library books, journals, organizing library materials, managing e-resources, and new arrival displays. 
  • Managing new procurements, library user’s needs, maintaining software, hardware related to library, preparing library budget and reports.
  • Updating and maintaining library pages, working on library modules, archiving newspaper clippings, program posters, handling annual verification.
  • Organizing library committee meetings, preparing minutes
  • Any other task assigned by the Center Director.

  • Graduate from a recognised University /Institute with aggregate of 50% marks.
  • Knowledge of typing.
  • Knowledge of use of personal computers and applications – supported by certificates from the government recognized institutions..
  • Minimum 1 year experience in clerical duties and correspondence in a large and reputed organization.

Age - Maximum 28 years (Age relaxation as per rules)

Desirable Skills:

  • Candidates should have experience in Establishment / General Administration in a large and reputed organization.
  • Proficiency in MS Office - Excel etc.

Job Profile: (Establishment/General Administration)

  • Handling joining and exit formalities, assist in the recruitment process of the center,  managing attendance and leave records, payroll management, data feeding in the ERP software
  • Updating the personal files, maintaining office indexes, office orders, preparing various letters and correspondences, drafting advertisements.
  • Managing DAE and FRRO formalities of foreigners, coordinating for MEA clearance.
  • Providing logistical support for the graduate admissions, academic visitors. Handling the academic affairs of the graduate program.
  • Maintaining registration form, participant list, handling the logistical requirements of the academic/program visitors, handling queries and assisting in reports.
  • Any other task assigned by the Section incharge or Center Director

Job Profile: (Accounts/General Administration)

  • Processing bills/ claims of programs, seminars &colloqui, preparation of financial reports, statement of expenditure & utilization certificate for programs.
  • Processing of tour advance & settlement, TA/DA claims. liaising with bank for foriegn payments &receipts
  • Preparation of bank reconciliation statement (BRS), maintaining the fixed deposits and their renewal, processing medical reimbursement
  • Providing logistical support for the graduate admissions, academic visitors. Handling the academic affairs of the graduate program.
  • Maintaining registration form, participant list, handling the logistical requirements of the academic/program visitors, handling queries and assisting in reports.

(b) Minimum 2 years experience in the similar work profile.

(b) Minimum 1 year experience in the similar work profile.

Job Profile: (Electrical)

Experience in the field of installation, testing, commissioning, operation and maintenance of LT/HT electrical equipment and wiring installations including street lighting, etc., troubleshooting and fixing electrical problems in a single/three phase supply system having various colour codes and its proper identification.

Desirable:

The candidate should possess good health and will be required to assist senior technicians.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

(a) National Trade Certificate (NTC) (with aggregate of 60% marks) awarded by National Council of Vocational Training (NCVT) in relevant trade/discipline.

(b) Minimum 2 years experience in the similar work profile.

(a) National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) (with aggregate of 60% marks) awarded by National Council of Vocational Training (NCVT) in relevant trade/discipline.

(b) Minimum 1 year experience in the similar work profile.

Job Profile: (Civil Plumbing)

Experience in the work for maintenance/construction of residential buildings and public buildings at various locations and heights. Fix, repair and maintain all Public Health related works such as G.I., C.I, PVC, stoneware pipes, CP fittings, sanitary ware works, etc, and all Public Health related works.

Desirable:

The candidate should possess good health and will be required to assist senior technicians.

General Information:

  1. All the above posts are tenable at ICTS, Bangalore
  2. Benefits under TIFR Service:
    1. These posts carry usual allowances i.e. Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance(HRA), Transport Allowance (TA) etc. as admissible to the Central Government employees stationed in Bangalore and as made applicable to TIFR.
    2. In addition to the emoluments indicated against the posts, benefits such as reimbursement of medical expenses, leave travel concession, conveyance advance and house building advance etc. are available as per rules of TIFR.
  3. The qualifications prescribed should have been obtained from recognized university/institution/boards.Wherever grades are awarded by Universities/Institutes in CGPA/SGPA/OGPA etc. system, candidates are requested to convert the same into percentage based on the formula adopted by the University/Institute and mention the percentage at the appropriate column in the application form.
  4. Selected candidates for all these posts are liable to be transferred to other Centers/Field Stations of the Institute, if required.
  5. Selected candidates for the above posts at Sr. Nos. 5 & 6 may be required to work round the clock shift duties.
  6. Higher starting salary could be considered for deserving candidates for all these posts.
  7. Appointment for the above posts at Sr. Nos. 2, 5, 6 will be initially for a period of three years, including a probation period of one year. Continuing appointment beyond probation and  the initial period of appointment will be subject to the results of a probation review after one year, comprehensive review after initial term and performance appraisal. After successful reviews, the appointment is continued till superannuation age, which is sixty.
  8. Appointment for the above posts at Sr. Nos. 1, 3, 4 will be for an initial period of one year. Continuing appointment beyond the initial period will be subject to the results of a comprehensive probation review and performance appraisal. After successful review, the appointment is continued till superannuation age, which is sixty.
  9. Prescribed age should not exceed as on January 1, 2022 for the above posts.
  10. Selected candidates for the above posts will be governed by the National Pension System applicable to the Central Government service [unless she/he is already governed by CCS (Pension) Rules1972].
  11. Post/s for general category (Unreserved) – SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBD candidates can also apply.
  12. Candidates applying for the reserved posts should submit the category certificate in the prescribed format only (format attached in Annexure 1 & 2)
  13. Applications from the candidates will be accepted ONLY ON-LINE except for the following:
    1. Candidates applying for above posts and who are eligible for further age relaxation as per extant TIFR or GOI rules are required to submit applications by offline mode only (through Indian Post or Speed Post), alongwith a copy of relevant certificate in support of age relaxation (for example ex-servicemen, persons with benchmark disabilities etc.) and proof of DOB, education certificates, experience certificates, ID proof, caste certificate (if applicable). [SC, ST and OBC candidates applying for unreserved posts are not eligible for age relaxation and should apply online].
    2. Applicants working in Government/Semi-Government/ Public Sector Undertaking must apply through proper channel. Applicants who do not send their applications through proper channel, if called, will be able to participate in the recruitment process only upon submission of an NOC from the competent authority. However, an advance copy of application along with relevant enclosures may be submitted by post. Such applicants are not required to apply online.

  14. Incomplete applications (online) and off-line applications without photocopy of certificate in support of age relaxation, proof of DOB, education certificates, experience certificates, ID proof, caste certificate (if applicable) and applications received after the last date shall not be considered.
  15. Online applications must be submitted by 30 April 2022 and applications by post must reach Head Administration and Finance, ICTS-TIFR campus, Survey No. 151, Shivakote Village, HesaraghattaHobli, North Bangalore 560089 by 30 April 2022. Applicants who are required to send the applications by post must superscribe the post applied for, the advertisement number of the post on the envelope. The format of the application is as prescribed above.
  16. The candidates are required to produce the following original documents with copies at the time of recruitment process:
    1. Printout of online application form.
    2. Identity Proof (Adhar Card / Election Card / PAN Card / Passport / Driving License).
    3. Date of birth/ Proof of age.
    4. Educational Qualification (all mark sheets and certificates).
      In case Universities/Board award letter grades/CGPA/OGPA, the same will have to be indicated as equivalent percentage of marks as per the norms adopted by the University/Board. In the absence of the same, the candidature will not be considered (While submitting original documents for verification, the candidates will have to produce the norms of the University/Board for conversion of grades/CGPA/OGPA to equivalent percentage of marks.
    5. Experience certificate/s.
    6. Conduct certificates from two respectable persons
    7. SC/ST & OBC certificate (wherever applicable) in the Government of India format.
    8. OBC candidates should submit a valid copy of the Non-creamy Layer certificate issued by competent authority in the Govt. of India format. The OBC Non Creamy Layer certificate in GOI format should be preferably for the current financial year on the date of closing of application or utmost not earlier than one year from the date of closing of application.
    9. Candidates applying for the post reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disability should be suffering from not less than 40% of the relevant disability for the benefit of reservations. Candidates will have to submit a Disability Certificate issued by the competent authority in the prescribed format. PwBD candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC will be given further age relaxations as per extant GoI rules.
  17. Outstation candidates called for recruitment process will be paid single second class (non air-conditioned) return train fare for the journey by the shortest route from the nearest railway station of their place of residence on the production of photocopies of onward and return journey tickets.
    If you travel by air, you are required to purchase air tickets ONLY from 1) M/s Balmer Lawrie & Company Limited (BLCL) 2) M/s Ashok Travels & Tours (ATT) 3) Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Ltd. (IRCTC). Booking through the website of airlines is not allowed. The air-fare for such candidates will be restricted to the eligible return train fare on production of tickets and boarding passes.
  18. The center reserves the right to restrict the number of candidates for the recruitment process to a reasonable limit on the basis of qualifications and experience higher than the minimum prescribed in the advertisement. Mere fulfilling the essential and desirable qualifications and experience will not entitle an applicant to be called for the recruitment process. More vacancies may also be filled through this advertisement. The center also reserves the right not to fill any/some posts herein advertised. Canvassing in any form and/or bringing in any influence political or otherwise will be treated as a disqualification for the post.
