She has been cited “For contributions to transport in low-dimensional interacting systems, especially junctions of more than two wires, edge/surface physics of topological systems, and for contributions to overcoming the under-representation of women in physics.”

Prof. Rao’s research interests lie in theoretical condensed matter physics. Currently she is interested in the field of topological quantum matter.

ICTS congratulates Prof. Rao for the richly deserved recognition of her work.
