ICTS Endowed Visiting Professor Sriram Ramaswamy has been elected as an international member of the prestigious National Academy of Sciences (NAS) of the USA.
Members are elected to the NAS in recognition of their outstanding and continuing achievements in original research. Currently the NAS has approximately 2,700 members and 500 international members.
Prof. Ramaswamy is renowned for his pioneering work in active matter physics. He has played a key role in establishing it as a major field in soft condensed matter physics. He is also a Fellow of the Royal Society (FRS).
ICTS wishes Prof. Ramaswamy for yet another wonderful recognition of his fundamental contributions to science.
