Former ICTS postdoctoral fellow Siddhartha Mukherjee has been awarded the Saraswathi Cowsik Medal for 2025, recognizing his theoretical work on the scaling theory and hydrodynamics of dense bacterial suspensions, highlighted in the paper titled, “Intermittency, Fluctuations and Maximal Chaos in an Emergent Universal State of Active Turbulence.” The award will be presented on TIFR Founder’s Day (October 30).
ICTS congratulates Siddhartha and also his collaborators, Rahul Singh (former ICTS PhD student), Martin James (who carried out his project at ICTS) and ICTS faculty member Samriddhi Sankar Ray, whose guidance has been instrumental in shaping this excellent work, for this well-deserved honour.
