ICTS faculty member Rama Govindarajan and ICTS Endowed Senior Professor Sumathi Rao have been elected Fellows of The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS).
Prof. Govindarajan’s research focuses on fluid dynamics, especially particle-laden flows, cloud fluid dynamics, viscosity-stratified flows, and flow stability. Prof. Rao is a theoretical condensed matter physicist whose current research interests are in the field of topological quantum matter.
Membership to TWAS is reserved for scientists of exceptional international standing, chosen for their outstanding contributions to science. TWAS, headquartered in Trieste, Italy, was founded in 1983.
