We are delighted to share that two ICTS graduate students, Anwesha Dey and Mrinal Jyoti Powdel, have each been awarded the Best Poster Award at the recently concluded 10th International Soft Matter Conference (ISMC) 2026.

ISMC is a prestigious international conference in the field of soft matter research, and this year marked a significant milestone as India hosted the meeting for the first time. Both Mrinal and Anwesha received their awards “in recognition of outstanding scientific insight and excellence,” in the field of fluid dynamics.

Congratulating Mrinal and Anwesha, Centre Director Rajesh Gopakumar said, “On behalf of all of us at ICTS, we are proud of their achievement and congratulate them. We also congratulate their advisor, Samriddhi Sankar Ray, who has been doing a terrific job in guiding their research. We wish Anwesha and Mrinal continued success as they advance ahead with their PhD.”
