ICGC is a four yearly meeting held in India, under the auspices of the Indian Association for General Relativity and Gravitation. The first ICGC was organized by the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research in Goa in 1987 [during exactly the same dates as ICGC2011!], and in this Silver Jubilee Year we are happy to take the conference back to the same picturesque beach locale.

The year 2010 marks the Birth Centennary of the great astrophysicist Subrahmanyan Chandrasekhar. ICCG2011 will also be a Chandra Commemoration Event. Topics to be covered will include Quantum Gravity, Emission and Detection of Gravitational Waves, Numerical Relativity, Cosmic Microwave Background, Dark Matter and Dark Energy, Early Universe and Large Scale Structure of the Universe, and Relativistic Astrophysics.

The Scientific Organizing Committee aims to put together a vibrant and intense academic programme. One of our principal endeavours in this meeting will be to maximize participant involvement, through a large number of workshop talks and posters, and informal evening discussions. The Conference will consist of plenary talks, contributed talks in workshops, and poster presentations.

Location :

Holiday Inn is located in a quiet part of South Goa, next to an uninterrupted ten kilometer long pristine beach, perhaps one of Goa's most idyllic. Mobor beach is a couple of kilometres to the south of Cavelossim Beach, and the Inn is located between the sea and the Sal River. A kilometer to the south of the Inn the river runs into the sea, forming the scenic Sal River Estuary.
