The central theme of my research is to understand the fundamental aspects of dynamical and steady-state properties of non-equilibrium quantum systems by developing analytical and computational tools, with possible applications to quantum technology. Broadly my research interests are (i) understanding open quantum system dynamics, quantum transport, and associated fluctuation properties of low-dimensional non-equilibrium systems, (ii) stochastic thermodynamics: in particular, providing working principles to engineer efficient quantum devices (quantum heat engine, quantum refrigerator, quantum rectifier, etc) at the nano-scale level, providing universal bounds arising from underlying stochastic dynamics and (iii) Mesoscopic quantum optics that includes studying out-of-equilibrium hybrid quantum systems.
