Essential Qualification:

  • Graduate in Commerce with Advanced Accountancy, Auditing and Income Tax as subjects with a minimum of  55% marks.

  • Knowledge of Tally ERP 9

Desirable qualification:

  • Candidates with knowledge of purchase rules of the Government of India would be preferred.

To provide necessary support for administering the financial aspects of programming and day-to-day activities of the Centre.

  • To administer tendering process and award of work-contracts as per the TIFR rules
  • To administer proper recording and cost-validation of the capital assets of the Centre
  • To handle purchasing, accounting, issue and disposal of all types of stores items
  • To assist with reconciliation of the Centre's expenditure
  • Any other work assigned by ICTS-Director

2 Front-desk executive

Essential Qualification:

This job involves providing administrative support for  activities of the Centre and this includes managing the front desk/reception, telephone operations, scheduled shuttles/vehicles, in/out register of mails/posts, updating notice boards, overseeing work of housekeeping agency, recording attendance of staff, general administration and allied works.  Upper Age limit: 30 years (as on 1.1.2016)

This job involves providing administrative support for all the activities of the Centre. This includes providing administrative support to the faculty, students and visitors; making arrangements for various events and activities of the Centre, general administration and allied works.

5 Admin Assistant (Program) Essential Qualification & Experience:
  • Graduate degree from a recognised university
  • Familiarity with computers, internet and Microsoft office applications.

This job involves providing administrative support for all the activities of the program office. This includes making logistical and administrative arrangements - liaising with different sections of the Centre for these arrangements, booking program venue, deskspace, sending out announcements, booking tickets, assisting in visa related matters for program participants, etc, managing and maintaining an effective filing system for all files and assist in analysing feedback forms filled by participants and maintaining program related statistics, and any other task assigned by the program office Upper Age limit: 35 years (as on 1.1.2016)

Set up and install equipment such as microphones, sound speakers, video screens, projectors, video monitors, recording equipment, sound controlling and sound mixing for seminars, discussion meetings and public lectures

7 Project Assistant 
(Web Development)
Essential Qualification & Experience:
  • BSc (IT) / BSc (Computer Science) OR Diploma in Computer Science / IT. OR graduate in any discipline with proficiency in web development.
  • Minimum one year of work experience/exposure in areas of Website development on open source software, LAMP, knowledge of website security.
  • Candidates with good communication and documentation skills will be preferred.
Candidate will be responsible for upkeep and smooth functionality of the website. This involves maintenance of dynamic website, updating data on the website, developing modules on website as per the requirement, understanding the requirement of users and mapping them into technical document for developing website; testing the web modules independently; video processing and uploading; liaising with users of website; clear understanding of complete website hosting. (Desktop maintenance, Networking

Essential Qualification:   

  • Diploma in Computer Science OR B.Sc (Computer Science) OR BCA Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA)

Experience:    

  • Minimum one year of work experience/exposure in areas of desktop maintenance, managing campus-wide network or enterprise network & network security/monitoring

Skills required:
Desktop computer maintenance technicians need to have good problem solving skills and must be able to work independently; should be well versed in Windows, Linux and Mac operating system (installation, configuration & troubleshooting); should be a good team player and should have good communication skills. Candidates with certifications such as CCENT, CCNA, RHCE, ready to take additional challenges and ability to quickly analyze and diagnose the problem. will be preferred

10 Technical Support Engineer (HPC/Networking)

Qualification:

  • B Tech/BE in Computer Science & Engineering, Information Technology

Experience: 1-2 years

The Technical Support Engineer’s responsibilities will include the following:

  • Regular management of the data center facility and HPC clusters at the ICTS-TIFR Campus.
  • Monitor and tune HPC clusters to achieve optimum performance levels.
  • Provide monitoring and prompt response to support requests, technical questions and problems encountered by the users.
  • Configuration of the scheduling systems according to the specified user policies.
  • Coordinate with vendors to resolve hardware and software issues.
  • Documentation of the HPC environment as well as documenting system administration policies and procedures.
  • Install and maintain network hardware and software

11 Project assistant (LIGO grid computing center) Qualification: B Tech/BE in Computer Science & Engineering, Information Technology
Experience: 6 months or above 
Job Profile:
The Project assistant’s responsibilities will include the following: 
  • Responsible for implementation and ongoing administration of LIGO grid computing center
  • Configuration of the ZFS (filesystem) based storage
  • Regular management of the LIGO grid computing center at the ICTS-TIFR Campus.
  • Monitor and tune LIGO HPC clusters to achieve optimum performance levels.
  • Provide monitoring and prompt response to support requests, technical questions and problems encountered by the cluster users.
  • Configuration of the scheduling systems according to the specified user policies.
  • Documentation of the HPC environment as well as documenting system administration policies and procedures.

Tenure: Initial appointment will be for 1 year which may be extended depending upon performance and requirement of the Centre.

Age: Age will be relaxed for SC/ST/OBC/Ex-Servicemen as per norms as per Institute rules.

Location: ICTS campus, Bangalore 

The selected candidates will be required to join at the earliest. Salary will be fixed appropriately for a candidate with desired qualification and relevant experience.
