Parameswaran Ajith, K. G. Arun, Suchetana Chatterjee and Bala R. Iyer
17 December 2019 to 19 December 2019
Madhava Lecture Hall, ICTS, Bangalore

There is overwhelming evidence for the existence of supermassive black holes in the centers of galaxies. Apart from being objects of fundamental importance to gravitational physics, supermassive black holes play an important role in astrophysics and cosmology. The primary goal of this workshop would be to initiate a collective research program on supermassive black holes in India, which will have implications for major observatory projects such as LISA. The workshop will bring together astronomers and astrophysicists working on different aspects of supermassive black holes, using electromagnetic and gravitational-wave observations.

Participation in the workshop is by invitation only.
