Area of Research:  Theory of the glass transition, systems with competing interactions and frustration

I am interested in various problems in condensed matter physics with competing interactions and/or frustration. I try to attack problems in which there are multiple competing lengthscales and the dominant lengthscale (if there is one) changes continuously or discontinuously as various control parameters (temperature, pressure, etc) are tuned.

My current research attacks the glass transition problem from various angles. Using constrained simulations, my aim is to develop a theory (as universal as possible) that can explain the phenomenon of the glass transition.
