ICTS faculty member Samriddhi Sankar Ray has been awarded the new prestigious SERB-Science and Technology Award for Research (SERB-STAR). The SERB-STAR is instituted by SERB to recognize and reward outstanding performance of Principal Investigators of SERB Projects. The award is given to young researchers for stellar performances in frontier areas of science and engineering.
Samriddhi works at the interface of non-equilibrium statistical physics and fluid dynamics. In particular, his research interests lie in fundamental and applied problems of turbulence and turbulent transport.
ICTS Centre Director, Rajesh Gopakumar said, ‘Given the sparkling recent research from Samriddhi and his team, it is no surprise that he has been chosen for this award.
