ICTS invites applications from highly motivated candidates interested in pursuing doctoral research in the theoretical and mathematical sciences. Current research at ICTS is in the areas of astrophysical relativity, statistical physics and turbulence, condensed matter theory, string theory and quantum gravity, dynamical systems and data assimilation, and physical biology. More details can be found here.

Students selected for the Integrated PhD program will have to do about two and half years (B.Sc) and two years (B.Tech/ M/.Tech/ BS) of coursework at the beginning of the program, while those selected for the PhD program will have to do about one and half years of coursework. The coursework also includes research projects. On successful completion of the coursework, students can choose their line of research and register for their PhD. Some details of graduate course work can be found here (PhD & Integrated PhD course details). The students will receive a degree through the Physics Subject Board of the Graduate School of TIFR.
