The symposium will be a confluence of primarily young and senior researchers across various disciplines of astrophysics to foster extensive interactions and will, also, hopefully provide some of the aspiring students the necessary impetus to work in the discipline of astrophysics. The symposium will also give the young researches, especially those who are abroad, a feel of the institutional opportunities existing in India congenial for their further research career in India.

The underlying theme is ongoing and upcoming Astronomical and Cosmological Surveys and what these tell or has the potential to reveal about our Universe.
Topics include:
1. Surveys in Astronomy and Cosmology
2. Local Universe - exoplanets, stars, ISM
3. High Energy Astrophysics - neutron stars, black holes, SNe
4. Cosmological Surveys and Probes - galaxies, clusters, lensing, BAO, Early Universe

Participation is targeted at young researchers (senior PhD students, postdocs, junior faculty) but there will also be talks from leaders in different fields in astronomy and cosmology.
