Overview

Biology, all the way from molecules, through cells, tissues, network in the brain, to ecosystems holds great promise today for bright young theorists. Exciting problems abound, a vibrant and connected global community of theorists is growing and the thrill of conceptual discoveries await the prepared and well-trained student.

This school will feature pedagogical courses on Nonlinear dynamics in biology, Robotics and biomechanics, Soft active matter, Game theory and Information theory instructed by Madan Rao,  Madhusudhan Venkadesan, Mukund Thattai, Sandeep Krishna and Shachi Gosavi.

In addition, students will be exposed to new and interesting biological puzzles of current research interest via research talks by Aswin Seshasayee, Deepa Agashe, Jayant Udgaonkar, M. K. Mathew, and Upinder Bhalla.
