The Sadho Project
Presents
Songs of the Seeker
Songs of the Seeker by The Sadho Project is an immersive music concert inspired by the words and philosophy of Saint Kabirdas, the 15th-century mystic poet whose verses bridge the spiritual and the everyday. The concert traces a journey through past, present, and future; from rural soundscapes and folk traditions to urban rhythms, experimental electronic textures and rich vocal harmonies. The concert explores how Kabir’s timeless ideas of truth, simplicity, and unity resonate in today’s world. Newly composed works inspired by Kabir’s poetry are presented alongside reinterpretations of well-known melodies.
The Sadho Project is a Bengaluru-based quartet: Vivaswath Rao, Roopini Ravindran, Kusumitha Vasanth, and Aditi Bharatee. The ensemble explores the intersections of Electronic, Indian classical and folk music. The group experiments with sound and genre while staying rooted in India’s cultural and musical heritage, creating performances that are both intellectually engaging and emotionally resonant.
