Who are eligible to apply?
Graduate students (MSc, MA, MPhi, PhD, etc) in economics, finance, econometrics, applied economics, physics, mathematics, and faculty members from Universities, Research Institutes, and Colleges are welcome to apply. Advanced undergraduate students with sufficient background in applied mathematics and economics may also apply. Put simply, anyone who feels that the course will be useful is welcome to apply. However given the limited number of seats available, only those who have the requisite background will be given preference.
What are requisite mathematical background?
Undergraduate level courses in undergraduate calculus, linear algebra, differential equations and probability would be desirable.
How to apply for the Winter School?
Applications have to be made via the course web site only. These are the steps involved in the application:(a) First, please register as an ICTS USER by clicking on the ''ICTS USER'' button on the left. (b) Next, log into the ICTS Website based on your registration in step (a).(c) Visit the program web site again. The application form can be accessed by clicking the APPLY button, and then the APPLICATION FORM button.

What is the criteria for selection?
Suitability of the applicant to the winter school in terms of past academic credentials, and appropriate background (eg., a basic knowledge of applied mathematics and economics would be bonus).
Is this a certification course?
NO. This is a research school meant to train students and interested researchers in modern approaches to finance and macroeconomics.
Does ICTS provide travel support?
For Indian students, 3AC fare by train via the shortest route will be reimbursed. For faculty from India, an economy fare (by Air India) may be offerred depending on the availability of funds. Does ICTS provide local hospitaliry?
YES. ICTS will take care of local hospitality (including accommodation) to all selected applicants.
Is there a registration fee?
NO.
