Abstract

Inhomogeneous fluids are interesting due to the inherent presence of interfaces and they give rise to a plethora of phenomena which can not be observed in bulk. Typical examples include confined liquids where the presence of surfaces not only changes their static properties compared to in the bulk but also the dynamics. In this regard, results from molecular dynamics simulations and numerical calculations will be presented for colloidal particles suspended in a binary solvent.
