The first set of lectures in the newly started Subramanyan Chandrashekhar Lecture Series were delivered by the renowned theoretical physicist, Asoke Sen.

Professor Sen delivered 3 lectures. The first lecture was accessible to general audience while the other two were more technical. He reviewed recent progress on understanding the entropy of black holes in extremal limit both from macroscopic and the microscopic points of view.
